Prof. Smith Leyton Martinson
Founder of the Institute

We exist as vibrations.
Today, science tells us that the essence of nature is life-force. To embark on the journey is to become one with it.
You must take a stand against materialism.

Throughout history, humans have been interacting with the cosmos via pulses. Who are we? Where on the great circuit will we be guided? Our conversations with other dreamers have led to a condensing of pseudo-ethereal consciousness.

Prof. Oscar Slater

My research focuses on memory, self-generated thoughts, and how these processes are affected by aging. I am broadly interested in identifying cues to mind wandering and understanding its relation to learning and performance.
Outside of school, my hobbies include reading, hiking, camping and travelling. Along with my wife, we love to enjoy barbecues in open air and make a habit of visiting parks.

Prof. Lilibet Acciai

How can we learn and teach more effectively, and how may technology play an active role in this? This research project focuses on the effect of training in Virtual and Mixed Reality environments.

Identifying and using implicit structures in sequences.
Many sources of data, such as natural language or music, have an inherent internal structure. This structure describes the regularities and restrictions of the data. This research aims at making the structure explicit, which leads to a description of the underlying (formal) language of the data. This information can then be used, for instance, to group similar elements in the data together.
